The Shalimar is a family run restaurant, named after the beautiful Shalimar gardens which were built for Nur jahan, "light of the world" by her husband jehangir in 1616. During the mogul period and topmost of the four terraces were reserved for the emperor and the ladies of the court.

These beautiful gardens were renowned for their splendid sound and light shows and banquets fit for kings. At the Shalimar we have done our utmost to recapture that splendour of beautiful surroundings with air conditioning for your comfort and fine cuisine with an extensive menu consisting of mouth watering choices such as fish, lamb, beef, chicken and vegetarian dishes.

Our talented chef has taken great care and pride when preparing dishes in a style that blends the finest authentic spices (carefully selected from throughout the Indian subcontinent) to produce a variety of subtle and exotic flavours without over spicing.
